마닐라 슬롯 Inc., an innovative AI startup specializing in sign language translation and education software, is accelerating its global expansion with a new partnership in Indonesia.

Founded by CEO Jisu Lee, 마닐라 슬롯 Inc. develops advanced sign language translator and education solutions designed to improve accessibility for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Lee previously worked as a researcher at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) in South Korea before launching 마닐라 슬롯 Inc. as a spin-off startup to commercialize his research.

Lee’s motivation is deeply personal. His uncle was deaf, an experience that inspired him to dedicate his career to bridging communication gaps between hearing and hearing-impaired individuals. “Technology should remove barriers, not create them,” Lee has said in past interviews.

마닐라 슬롯 Inc. gained international attention after introducing its sign language solution at CES, the world’s largest consumer electronics exhibition. The company demonstrated AI-powered sign-to-text translation and realistic sign language avatar technology, drawing interest from public institutions and global partners.

This month, 마닐라 슬롯 Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with MRT Jakarta, marking a significant step into Southeast Asia. Under the agreement, 마닐라 슬롯 will provide a comprehensive sign language solution for Jakarta’s metro system within this year.

The solution includes an interactive AI-powered kiosk guide. When hearing-impaired passengers ask questions in sign language related to using MRT subway services, such as ticketing, routes, schedules, or transfers, the kiosk will respond simultaneously with a sign language avatar and on-screen text information. This dual-format communication system is designed to ensure accessible and independent public transportation use for Deaf passengers.

In addition to public transportation support, 마닐라 슬롯 Inc. will also provide its sign language education software to deaf schools in Indonesia. The platform aims to enhance sign language learning and digital literacy through AI-assisted tools, supporting both students and educators.

마닐라 슬롯 Inc. has already deployed its sign language translator solutions across major institutions in South Korea, including the National Museum of Korea, government offices, hospitals, and banks. These implementations have improved communication accessibility in public services, healthcare, finance, and cultural institutions.

With its expansion into Indonesia, 마닐라 슬롯 Inc. continues its mission to build inclusive communication infrastructure worldwide. By integrating AI-driven sign language translation into public services and education systems, the company aims to create environments where accessibility is embedded by design.
